I thought it was time for another protection thread here.
As is the practice at my house, I get my son to cook on the weekends and here is what he prepared tonight, a New York strip sirloin, bake potato, salad...all protected by a Beretta 92SF.
I can't decide what I like best, the steaks or the protection?
Now why don't you guys get cook'n and show us what you've got?

Can I borrow your kid for awhile? My 19 year old could cook Ramen, maybe.

If that were in NY, that NY sirloin steak would be stripped of that Beretta.
You've made me very hungry suddenly.

Is that what they mean by a New York Strip steak?

My son is a good cook, and he has, in fact, used a Beretta M-9 to defend some of his meals. (Or, himself, so he could stay alive to eat the meals.)
He found it quite effective. The enemy hadn't read that the 9mm is useless.
His main culinary fault in his teens was using too much Worcestershire sauce in cooking. Once he got past that, he's done quite well. I suspect that he cooks better than most of his girlfriends. He also does a pretty good job of matching wines to meals, although he sometimes serves a Riesling with steak.

Nice job Charlie.
I saw this over on the Sig Forum. Good thing you have protection for that meal or somebody would steal it for sure!

The experts say you should have a "bowl of something" for breakfast. OK with me!

This evening I left this picture over on another forum and though you might enjoy it here.
________________________________________________
I just couldn't let this pass. This evening, my son, the engineer, put this beautiful assortment of rib-eyes and t-bones on the grill and cooked them to a beautiful, rare perfection.
Any meal of this caliber (pardon the pun) deserves the best protection possible, so I got out my trusty 1911 that I smithed together nearly thirty years ago.
It is an Essex frame with all new Colt parts. I assembled it without outside assistance, debugged it and it has worked like a charm ever since. It's favorite diet is 230 gr. RN lead over an appropriate charge of Herc Unique.
Good guns, good steaks! What more can you ask?

I really enjoy these meal with protection postings. Next time you cook up a tastey morsel, just bring out some of your heat and share it with us.

OK now this is meal!
I felt bad for you after seeing the little morsel of meat in your first post in this thread Charlie.
Remember this when it comes to eating------------ ,whenever you can fit the whole meal on one plate ------It's only a snack!

Isn't there a saying that goes "I didn't claw my way to the top of the food chain, to eat vegetables"?
