CZ 85B
A model of CZ I rarely see around here is the model 85. It's an ambidextrous version of the 75, safety and slide lever on both sides.
A local shop had one today and, after much negotiating, I brought it home.
It's an '08 model, 2 16rd mags, loader, case. The original owner put a fiber optic front sight on it. I'll change out the grips eventually.

You might want to shoot it with the rubbers on before making a final decision on their fate.

I had a friends 85b come thru the shop I managed that had been through the CZ custom shop for a trigger job and I didn't buy it, I'm still kicking my self for letting it slip thru my fingers. I love the feel and pointability of the
classic design.

I picked-up an 85B NIB in 1999 as my first 9mm. It was an 1994 production gun and came with one Hillary 10 rd mag. I picked a few USA mag (or similar) 15 rd junk mags. They have been replaced with quality MecGars since the 2004 law change.
Excellent firearm!

I put some new Coolhand Grips on it. It feels much better in my hand now, and looks better.

I passed on an 85 several years ago after hearing that the ambi safety lever was prone to loosening. I "settled" for a 75 instead. Remarkably inexpensive for such a finely crafted gun, I forget now what I paid.

I am a lefty so I always look for ambi controls on pistols. I was going to get one several years ago and then found the CZ 75 P-01 Omega with an ambi hammer drop. I sent it off to Cajun Gun Works for their Pro Package plus Dawson night sights and their beautiful grips. It is a lovely little gun. I also had a CZ 75 SA for a little while and a P-10C . They just do it right. There will be more of them in my safe.
