Gun case
This is for my Baikal 35, which came in the box but with cheesy yellow foam lining the case, which was worn out and missing in parts. I took blue foam, like the kind used for sleeping pads, and used two layers. The first was glued down, the second had the silhouette inlet for a good fit to keep the pistol from moving around in the case. Actually, my buddy did most of the carving with a razor blade. Inlet are the pistol, the extra magazine, the tool kit in the Altoids canw, and the cleaning rod.
The pistol is NOT user friendly. The pistol has no lock back and you pretty well have to dismantle it to clean the barrel...not that I'd clean the barrel anyway. Lubing, if I knew where to lube. Walther imported the Baikals by changing the grip, but that's pretty well it.
I need to take the thing to the range, but haven't had a chance yet.

Don't knock the 35M, great shooters, and superb accuracy. I've been shoting one since 2001, and it has accounted for many fine scores in Bullseye.
I did change the grips, had them made to my hand size.

Who did the grips for you? How was the right grip size determined?

Russian guns do tend to have a large trigger guard. Likely because Russians are always wearing gloves when outdoors. Nice. Joe

How did that happen?

Grips were made by Arni Vitarbo, a "zerox" of my hand and measurements in several specific locations of the hand. I had them made but unfinished, and then did a little final fitting and put a multi level Tru-oil finish on them.

That might explain all the gloves snagged while fishing off Brighton Beach in the Summer.
