bringing back my childhood-Savage 101
this is the gun I learned to shoot handguns with. the one I had is now in TX with my nephew. he has three young boys and they are shooting this as their first handgun experience. the one I bought yesterday at an estate auction is in a lot better shape than the one he has. I rode it hard and put it up wet. it is a single shot that you load by twisting the barrel/cylinder to the right to load. Lee

I have a couple of those. I've found one to be just about the perfect tool for dispatching trapped garden invading vermin.

IIRC, that was part of a single-shot set, but oddly from different manufacturers.
Savage 101 a sort-of SAA 22
Ithaca 49 single a martini-ish but external hammer 22
Ithaca 66 a lever-action-break barrel single shot shotgun.
I have a beat up 101 & like it.
