Actually, the Springfield 911, Sig 238 and Kimber Micro are all clones of the original Colt Mustang. All are great little pistols, but Colt got there first.
I might add that Colts are often a little cheaper than the other brands.

Default One of these is a Colt 1908 hammerless.

The others are 1903s. I also have a couple of the Colt Government model .380s.

I was raised on gun rags that mentioned this gun every time they explained what was right about the S&W Model 39.

I've had a few over the years. The SIG 230 as shown above is probably the prettiest gun ever but mine was a jammamatic so I dumped it.

This Star Model S is an incredibly excellent pistol, extremely accurate, and it's not at all bad looking, either:

This Beretta Cheetah FS-85 is also an excellent weapon:

My main problem with those two .380 caliber guns is their size. I can carry a 9mm smaller than they are so they never get to see the light of day.

Two Glock 42's. I liked the first one so much I bought a second one in case they quit making it.

Yeah, by at least a couple of decades.
The Mustang was introduced in about 1983.

In the early 1990s I owned a Bersa 383A. Steel frame. Wood grips.
Totally reliable and hit wherever I aimed it.
Sold it in 1993. Still kicking myself.
