I crossed another one off the bucket list today...
Scored what I considered to be a killer deal on this revolver from the other Wesson, Dan Wesson that is. She's a Model 15-2H I think, as all the barrels are the H Type with the non-veneted rib up top. What caught my eye is that she's complete: with all four barrels, 3 sets of grips, the case, stylish belt buckle, wrenches, extra sights, even the case key and brochure. As icing on the cake, she came with a copy of the NRA Basic Pistol Handbook from the 1970s, and the original purchase receipt from 12/7/1978. Original purchase price: $399.99, with tax $423.99, or just shy of $1800 in today's money (adjusted for inflation).
I cannot understate how excited I am to finally own a Dan Wesson revolver pack like this. I've seen similar kits like this before, but they're always missing stuff like one or two barrels, or the wrenches and sights, the case, etc.
She's in primo shape, albeit quite filthy and in need or a good cleaning. Feels like there's some 40 year old grease conjealed in the action. To be safe, I've already ordered a EWK Arms barrel wrench and new barrel nuts, these seem to be the only parts with signs of wear, other than some very old lead in the bore and cylinder. Can wait to get her cleaned up and on the range, hopefully next weekend!
Edit to add: She was originally purchased at Friedman's Army-Navy Store in Hillsboro, TN, though it appears the original purchaser was from my state, Connecticut, as evidenced by some of the details that I edited out of the receipt in the picture below for privacy. This included a credit card number imprint and a CT driver's license number.

Thanks, good to know, of that's the going price these days I got one heck of a smoking deal at about half that much.

Oh, you meant BUCKET. I was sitting there trying to decide what a buck list was, and what a new pistol would have to do with it.

Lol, autocorrect struck again, and I can't edit the post title for some reason...
Edit: fixed it, I just couldn't edit the post title from inside Tapatalk. Kinda sad about the current state of that app actually, the experience isn't anywhere near as good as it once was, but that's a rant for another post.

Very nice set, congratulations
I’ve wanted one like this for a long time. 20+ years ago a good shooting buddy of mine had a complete set like this, and the 8” barrel had a bipod and scope mounted on it.
One day he sold it to a complete stranger without even telling me he wanted to sell. That put a dent in our relationship.

I think it's a 15-2. Unless there's a vent rib, I can't see it well.
I believe it goes.....
15-2 plain barrel
15-2V for Vent Rib
15-2H for Heavy Barrel (extended ejector rod housing/ aka full "underlug")
15-2VH for Vent Rib & Heavy Barrel (both, obviously)
The ones you hardly ever see are the 15-2H.

Nothing is ever wrong with scoring a Dan Wesson pistol pack. You got a really nice set. I obtained mine a couple years ago, it was the 15-2VH variety. Amazing shooting gun!

Heretofore, I've only had/shot their large frame .44Mag. I recently rescued a 6" V M15 from pawn and I am pretty impressed after it's first outing. Turns out I had a set of Hogues in my sundries box, and they fit the small frame....Nice. I have had a 6"VH .44 for a while. It was drilled for ports, but had an unported barrel installed. I found a ported barrel, and also bought a 4" VH assembly. I haven't played with either yet, but I think I will this week, LOL.
