On several of the various boards there is quite a bit of interest in the new 44 special flattops. As a group of diehard S&W fans, what caliber or calibers other than 44 special, would you like to see offerred in the small frame flattop?

Elmer keith experimented with loads, and blew up a Colt .45 with a heavy charge. Going to a .43 caliber (a .44 slug measures .429) gave him just enough more metal in the gun to hold up to heavy pressures.
But he was not suicidal. He liked a slower (hercules 2400) powder, used non-magnum primers, and loaded 240 grain bullets (not the 300 grainers hunters like today).
To answer your question, are there any other calibers?

I thought perhaps there might be some interest in a dual cylinder 32/20 and 327 Federal model or perhaps 38-40 and 40S&W.

They might come out w/45. New Vaquero is the same frame less flat top & adjustable sights.
I'd like to see a single stack, semi-auto, 9mm Makarov come coupled w/5 shot Mak revolver w/3" brl. It's OK coz I ain't right...

I have one of the Lipsey's in .44 special, great gun. I think a .41 special would be sorta neat! It took 25 years to get a .44 special so I dont think Ruger would build one. I have a coulple of old model three screw's that might be converted to another caliber, maybe a .41 special is in order.

It was my understanding that Skeeter Skelton posed for a pic 50 some odd years ago w/44spl that Ruger was going to produce in the immediate future or sumpthin' along them lines...
Ye olde 44spl Flattop
I'm waiting, though not holding my breath, for one sportin' a 4 5/8 brl...
