Looked at Sigs, kimbers, and Springfileds handled quite a few I liked the sig and even the new Colt I handled skipped over the kimbers pretty quick. I saw one S&W 1911 and picked it up.

It was a gunsite model I hefted it and thought it feels pretty good so it was the one I chose. I will pick it up saturday and go to the range

Really? It feels like all the other steel framed brands. That said, and extractor aside, Smith & Wesson 1911 have weathered public opinion. But some of my blued parts haved still turned maroon. Please S&W recall these guns for cosmetic reasons!
