Beretta model 20 .25acp
Bought a model 20, forerunner to the 21A, last week. Have had a bunch of Beretta 950, 21A, 70s and 84s over the years. Discount does not have a half cock notch safety. I cannot see Beretta making a gun without the safety feature. I read on a rimfire forum that model 21As had this notch break off. Has anyone ever experienced that with one of these micro Berettas? I wonder if Beretta will still work on one of these?

Before you think about getting it worked on you need to find out if it ever had a half cock notch. Some of the older models like the 948 .22 LR had inertia firing pins and no half cock notch.

Thanks. I just figured if 950s and 21As had it they would. I tried joining the Beretta forum but it’s easier to get a nuclear launch code from Biden then it is the sign up for the forum!!!

You might try Allegheny Arms in Pittsburgh. Specialize in Berettas, you may get some input if you can e-mail them. They have a website. I don't have a link but just punch it in and you should be able to be good from there. Great store. I think Josh is the Beretta guru.

Thanks guys. If long time members with multiple thousand posts say no notch then that’s my answer. Thanks again

That's great for him & the crew working down there. I haven't been there for a while; need to check out the inventory. Lot of good people there.

I have to cross two rivers to get there ; so don't go often, or just to look.
Funny thing is AA's is only about 3 miles from where I grew up!

Yeah: I have 1 river, or 2 if I use 28, 1 tunnel, then cross 2 fingers when I get on Rt. 51.
If I go up to that Wexford Exit place near the Gameland's range, things seem a little high $$. Lots of other gear, though. Last trip one of the guys ticked me off, very arrogant. I did hit G P Right & sold a .380 Walther. I like their prices; shop is named correctly.
To the other Forum members: if you're not from the Pittsburgh area, this is one town, small of a city as it is, that's truly the definition of "You can't get there from here!"

Big Buck in Wexford is generally high..... thou I did get a 3" 66 there for $325 (about 15 years ago) and a used anib ( bolt was still in the sealed bag) CZ 452 FS .22lr for about $300 a few years back.
GP Right???? where's that?
Have you been to the shop in Etna ..... in the back of "A-Advantage Truck and Trailer" shop on Rt 8? Fairly well stocked.

I was told the model 20 was only made a couple of years. Just wondering how plentiful they are and what the value might be?

I don’t believe the model 20 is particularly collectible. It is more delicate than a M21. The pluses for the 20 is it is slightly smaller and uses 950 magazines.
