Very nice pistols. I sold a government model years ago and would love to get another.

Refreshing
Thank you for sharing. Those Ruger Semi-automatic
pistols are the best made, durable, trouble free, and
inherently accurate pistols out there.
Nice collection.

That MKII is a "Government Model" that I found and purchased about 5 years ago as "new old stock". Virtually NIB.

Nice! That standard is one of the guns I learned to shoot with, and the one that taught me about long-range shooting with a handgun.
Here's the only version I have of that fine pistol:

I have a long term love relationship with Ruger .22 pistols going back to 1977 when my Mother allowed me to buy a Ruger Standard .22 pistol to hunt rabbits with in Florida. Paid $67.50 for a 6" fixed sight version, which I paid in a layaway at my local gun shop. Being 17 years old, my Mother had to do the paperwork. I did not disappoint her in the rabbit hunting department, she loved rabbit shot with a .22 pistol versus rabbit shot with a 20 gauge shotgun, no shot to spit out when eating the rabbit....
I have two Ruger .22's today, a 50th anniversary blued 4 5/8" inch MKII and stainless 6" MKII. Both serve well as field utility pistols, and recreation for my Nephews, Nieces, and Great versions of Nieces/Nephews. I think these will outlive me in providing shooting fun:

I had a MkII Government model, it shot okay for me. The mkii standard (thin 4” barrel) really was the ticket for me. It shot very well, was very accurate but just had an amazing balance to it. I’d like to get another one in the future. For now my Volquartsen LLV Comp covers a lot of bases.

What's not to love about the Ruger semi-automatic .22? Here's my Mark II. A great little handgun and extremely accurate. Not only that...it's just darn fun to shoot, too.

I sent my MkII Target to a sop in OH and Joseph built an integrally suppressed upper for it that measures about 8". Just waiting on Big Brother to process the paperwork so I can pick it up.
