Show Pictures of your SxS-Victor Sarasqueta 20ga SxS Sidelock
Since “recently” getting older, the 12ga CZ BRNO SxS Sidelock is getting heavier to hunt with. Started looking for a 20 ga in the 6lb range and most were as expensive as this one. The SKB 100 or 200 was looking good. Kinda wanted a simple gun with no single trigger or ejectors, less to go wrong.
This gun came into view, watched it for about a month, thinking!! Did a lot of searching. It was imported by Stoeger and the name Victor Sarasqueta came up as a “Quality” Spanish SxS maker. Finally got the gun and it weighs 6lb 10 oz. not bad. It comes up nice for me and love the engraving. Hope to chase some late season rabbits with a friend. Has double under lugs and a Greener Crossbolt, strong lock up. Always preferred double triggers. Since I can’t afford a Merkel Sidelock , this will have to do. Larry
Can anyone tell me a manufacturing date with the pictures of the water table and barrel bottom.

Let’s see pictures of your SxS’s. Have to be some more traditionalists on the forum. Larry

Not Spanish, just plain ol’ American, Philly to be exact.
I picked up this 1923 AH Fox AE grade 12 gauge last year.
Has 28” barrels, an English straight stock and came in a trunk case.
Found out last fall it works as advertised - a few Maine grouse also learned that!

Jebus,
Your SxS is a beauty. Here are couple of 16ga Utica Foxes, (my pheasant guns). Both are 28” mod/full. I also have an Italian double in 20ga (no picture) that I custom ordered 25 years ago. It is a Poli with 27” barrels imp/mod. AAA walnut. Single trigger.

I love doubles. I have a straight gripped 12 ga Darne copy (sliding breech), a Hopkins & Allen 12 ga, a TTN 12 ga coach gun with hammers and a .410 American Gun Company (Cresent Arms) with hammers, built on a small frame.
Sorry, no pictures.

I'm sorry, but these are the best pics I could find on my elderly computer of an elderly SxS, Crescent Arms, .410 3" chambered.I thought I had some better pics, but if you look hard you can see it! It does work, though!
This may be a candidate for a trimming down of the barrels, but I know I'd regret it. I have a .410 pump that is also another candidate. It's a 3" too but doesn't seem to like that size, as far as just cycling it to empty it in the cellar. I can remove the wooden plug to get 2 more in it. I don't hunt so one probably will go.

I love and use SxS shotguns on the skeet and 5 stand ranges as well as for upland bird hunting. In fact, I shoot more perfect 25s with my Parkers than I do with my Browning OU skeet gun.
I just completed a cross country bird hunting trip from Alabama to Idaho with this Parker 12 gauge DHE. I happen to have four or 'em, two 12s and two 20s, but this one got the nod to go. You just can't miss with a good SxS that fits properly. We'll be eating quail, chukar, and pheasants all year after this trip.

Like y'all I love side x sides. Alas I cannot hit the broad side of a barn with them so after two (20 and 16) I have had to resign myself to OU's.
