I picked up a Colt Model O 1918 that was made in 2008. I have to replace the thumb safety that Colt has a recall on. I called Colt and they looked up the serial number and said it hasn't been done. So I bought a wilson combat retro thumb safety and will have my local gunsmith fit it. I didn't want to send it back to Colt if I don't have to. They would have it for 6 weeks they told me.DSCN0957.jpg

Got one of those when they first came out, unfired since the factory. I’m never going to fire it. I will sell it when the time is right.

Had a recall way back when. Sent it in but don’t remember the reason for the recall. Need to check my paperwork.

I’d sure hate to send it back again, but if need be.

I tried getting one of the Carbona Blue ones, no dice.
