Just got me a brand spankin new 22 rifle. It's the Thompson Center G22. 23 inch Bull barrel and I like it. Adjusted the trigger for overtravel and put an inch 4 power tube on it. Added a sling and its good to go.

If I sight it dead on at 25 yds with a 40 grainer where will it hit and 50, 75 and 100?

I'm thinking a couple inches high at 50, on again at 75 and about 4 inches low at 100. Is that about right?

In my advancing age I'm reverting back to being a squirrel hunter.

Running 40 solids w/ a BC of .128 @ abt 1150fps frm your 23" tube, assuming standard atmospheric conditions, w/ a 25yd zero and your scope centerline 1.5" above bore you should be close to:

25yd 0
50yd -.3"
75yd -2.7"
100yd -7.2"

BUT, obviously w/ so many variables w/ rifle, ammunition, scope mounting and shooting conditions one absolutely must shoot it to see. Fortunately, that is the fun part!

Got to sight in the rifle this weekend. At 25 yds (my zero) it was clover leafing. sub-moa's trajectory calculations were right on although I did not shoot at 100 yds. It will be a little heavy to cart around for squirrels but not too bad.

If I sight dead on at 75 yds, what can I expect at 25, 50 and 100?

Thanks
