I'm seeking help here first and before I join another forum. I have a 1953 vintage '94. The butt plate is not right. What was the period plate for for it? Metal or logo'ed plastic? Curved?

It should have a plastic buttplate with the Winchester logo inside a circle in the middle.

My 1951 Model 94 has a serrated steel buttplate with no markings. This was standard. Some models were available with hard rubber but they are very rare.

I'm pretty sure it should have a checkered steel buttplate.

Thanks guys. The consensus agrees with what's there. Thus, the fault lies not in our plates but in our butts.

I have two from that period. Both have checkered steel butt plates.
