I was at the local fun shop yesterday and I spied the above gun for 399.00. I checked it out and went home to think it over(usual snooze you loose). Well today I went back and it was still in the case and I purchased it. The owner said that the former owner shot 1 box through it and traded it in for a Taurus. The gun I believe is a former police trade in that was either never used or it was expertly refinished. My question is, does anyone have experience with this gun?

Yep. I had one for several years and it was a dandy. They handle well, are very accurate, and easy to maintain. I did swap out the bobbed hammer for a skeletonized hammer similar to the ones on the Elite models. Great guns.

I had a 92D Centurion, the 9mm version. It was a decent gun. My wife has a 96G, the longer barreled decock only version.

Mags are cheap enough, but factory ones only hold 11 rds. That makes the 96s a rather large and heavy gun for the capacity offered. The 96 series also has an odd history of unexplained jams at times, which is why most agencies that used them seem to have dumped them.

MecGar can sell you some mags that hold 12 or more rounds.
