I found this and had to bid on it... thought it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

Hospital Bolo Knife, that is in pretty good shape for something that is a 100+ years old.

Anyone else collect these?

I love it, looks like a great knife especially for camping and such and in great condition for collection

A bolo like this is a tool rather than a weapon. Their uses are mostly agricultural... clearing paths.

A bolo for the purpose of a weapon is generally longer with the point being more narrow.

Nice find!

I collect knives, but no bolos. My uncle has a few from the Philippines.
