What next, a 105mm version?

Maybe something along the flechette round version. Have a bunch of celebrants torching cars and looting because their sports team won, or a bunch of protesters burning trash in the street? Roll out the 105mm version, light it off and watch them all do the funky chicken.
A few more than the 105 can handle, make a cluster bomb unit that drops the tasers into the crowd, just smell the ozone as the tasers has them flopping around the pavement.
The possibilities are endless!

We'll got one of our TASER Instructor's going to a TASER Conference in Arizona at the end of this month. They are going to be talking about this and some other new items that TASER is coming out with. It should be interesting.........

Interesting.
The TASER folks are a bit "Big Brother" for my tastes. They only sell gimped versions of their product commercially, reserving certain units for LE only. I don't like two tiered systems such as that. They also require their own unique background check to activate one if they do sell you one. I don't like that either since it sets a dangerous precedent. Beyond that, they put taggants in the cartridges which in the age of the micro stamping controversy for small arms ammunition is yet another dangerous precedent. In the past, they've also flirted with being anti gun based on marketing the idea that "what do you need a gun for, this is much better...". There were also problems with some marketing suggesting that TASERs were "non lethal", but they're in fact "less lethal". This may have contributed to over enthusiastic employment by certain users.
Designing a shotgun fired variant will at least help move away from the anti-gun aspects. Whether it'll be any less dangerous than rubber bullets, bean bag rounds and the like remains to be seen.
Point Blank Body Armor now sells TASER proof concealable armor. Thus there are certainly are countermeasures that will work.

With B'rock and the Dem's running things, I'm sure tasers will be banned within the next few years anyways. I've seen/heard about the Taser shotgun round for a few years. I'm thinking there has to be some kid of problem with it or it would already be out in use instead of spending so long in development.

I wonder if anyone has ever done a study on the racist implications of the taser, and how frequently its been deployed against minorities, and what the lethality is of the various races?
