Cool Glock forum

Hi:
Anyone a member of this Forum?
I have been attempting to register for several days and can't seen to have my E-mail address verified by the Admin?

Jimmy

Do you mean GlockTalk? If so, yes, since early '99. Did you have a question or are you taking a survery?

I guess I am technically still a member of Glock Talk, although I haven't visited there in I can't remember when. Its denizens are, by my reckoning, intellectually and socially inferior, by and large, present company and myself excluded, of course. I never learned anything there, and just found a bunch of mindless chatter. If mindless chatter is what I want, I can just talk to myself, and avoid the bother of all the typing...

I knew Glocks were pretty good guns, but I did not know they could talk.

I have looked over there once or twice but haven't been there in awhile. I've looked at other forums and only joined this forum since everyone seems to be nice and don't try to annoy everyone else with gibberish. I've noticed at other forums the poster often gets slammed by alot of other users about what ever they posted. Doesn't make since to post something if your going to get slammed. Not everyone knows everything about everything or even everything about everyone. Does that make any since or am I gibbering?

Been a member of that one almost as long as this one; never visit any more though - even more predictable and repetitious than we are here.

No.
Not
Ever
Never
No-how
Under no circumstances at all.
It's going to be a cold day in a certain very hot place first.
As my father said, "It'd be like trying to spread butter on the south end of a north bound wildcat with a hot knife."

I saw a vintage Hammerli (spelling?) at one time though I thought I wanted, until I saw the price.

I joined Glock Talk in February 2001 as "Texas Tea" when I was living in Texas. I visit every so often. The last time I logged on before today (to find out which date I joined) was June of 2008.

I have 5 Glocks and 34 S&W pistols and revolvers, so you can see where my heart lies. That said, I don't understand the occasional Glock bashing I see on this forum. I bought my first Glock in 1992. I've never had a failure to fire or function. They're quite accurate and I shoot them very well. By the way, the same goes for my 3 Sig pistols.

Now, in fairness, I do understand the unsuported chamber argument against the Glock 40 S&W pistols. I use to reload for my Glock 40s and never had any problem, but I didn't shoot HOT loads and I never reload lead bullets for pistols.

I registered last week and it took about three days to receive my confirmation e-mail. The only reason I joined was to buy a holster & magpouch set up for a relative of my wife, who wants to try IDPA this Saturday. He's a Doc w/ a glock, and asked for my help in picking a suitable rig. (Wish he would have asked for my help before he picked out his stupid g----!)

Tells you how much they know.

I've always considered myself short-tempered, of an ill demeanor, titewaded, a recluse that don't like people, and just a general old curmudgeon. Heck, I'd never give them the chance to find me pompous or arrogant, which I most certainly am not.
Clearly, they don't know me very well.

I almost forgot: cantankerous too!
I don't play with mouthy teenagers well, either.

I agree. I have a # of Glocks and like them so looked at their site. We are very fortunate to have moderators here who have the good sense to put a stop to the shenanigans that some of the arrogant posters get away with on the Glock site. I really appreciate the respect people here generally give each other even when they disagree.

I'm a member of Glock Talk. As of late it's a good place to get belittled and insulted for you question(s)/comment(s).(I guess those that insult have a low self esteem) Yet you will also get an honest answer for your question(s).

Yes, since Nov 2005 when my Wife decided to buy a Glock 17. We now own 3 Glocks which have become safe-queens (except the G17 sometimes comes out to play with an AA .22LR upper).

Definitely prefer my M&Ps to the Glocks. Not a religious thing, they fit our hands better and we shoot them more accurately.

To perhaps answer your question . . . I think (not positive) that they won't allow folks to register that use a "free Email account", so if you tried registering with a Hotmail, Gmail, etc. account they may have ignored your request. Go back and read their Announcements and other info to see if this is true (assuming you used such an account). Otherwise try sending a message to one of their admins.

ETA: I don't go to GT very often and stick to a few special interest (and For Sale) sub-forums when I do.
