Veteran's Group
I have applied for and received an invitation to the Veteran's Group, but when I open the invitation, I can find no way to accept it. I could use a little help here. I did go into the thread and post an acceptance reply, but I'm not sure this was what was needed. I'd appreciate any help I can get on this. I thank you all for the great forum, the hard work and wonderful source of all things Smith and Wesson, and other things too. Especially thanks for your time. I guess I'm just missing something.

Looks like you're in. It says "US Veteran" under your name now. There is a Veterans forum you should be able to access now.

I still cannot find the Veteran's forum anywhere and my name does not appear in their membership list. Hmm. Maybe I'll check tomorrow. Thanks again for your help.

I'm sorry, it's not technically a forum, but a Group. You can access it via your User CP, scroll to bottom right.
Here, Lee's post tells you exactly what to do and how to access the Group: http://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/...ans-group.html

I checked there and it says I'm not a member of any group. Still in the dark.

From Lee's post:
Quote:
Remember- YOU have to ACCEPT the invitation.
In the top right corner of the forum screen, click "Your Notifications"
A drop down box then opens.
Go down to "Social Group Invitations" and click.
This takes you to the U.S. Veterans Social Group page.
Click on the link "US Vets" located on the left next to the US Vet icon, or click on the icon (pic).
The group page pops up and in the dark blue header on the right side is the option to "join" the group or "decline".
Having the "U.S. Veteran" title under your screen name does NOT mean you are a member of the social group. Till you ACCEPT the invitation, you are NOT a member of the group, whether you have the title under your name or not.
You can find the group by clicking "Community" on the top bar, then select "Social Groups"
You can also get there from your User CP.
Under "Networking", select "Social Groups"

Thank you so much. I finally saw what I needed to do. It must be either my 64 year old mind or eyes, or both. Again, thank you, this should do it.
