wating for ad.turn.com
Ads on the left side of the screen are EXTREMELY slow in downloading. "wating for ad.turn.com" appears in bottom left of Firefox browser. What's up?

Same question here. I fixed breakfast and the page still hadn't loaded. I switched to Internet Explorer to get here, and it was only marginally faster. I've noticed this for a week or two now. Not mad, just concerned at this point.

Google is your friend.
A search on ad.turn.com showed me this-
How to Remove Ad.turn.com virus (Removal Guide)
We don't have ad.turn attached to any ads, so you have picked it up somewhere else.
You probably have that malware and your browser is successfully blocking a redirect attempt, but stalling in the process.
