Default Q on closing a for sale ad.

If I withdraw or close an ad due to lack of interest, how should I do it?
Do you Mods/Admin prefer I delete the ad or just put *withdrawn* in the header?

I'm fine with whatever you want, just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

The accepted method is to add either SOLD, TRADED, or WITHDRAWN to the beginning of the thread title.

Thiokol is of course correct, but you do have several options.
If you have other items to sell/trade, you can either change the existing ad and title or you can have the old ad closed and start another one.
If don't wish to list another item, have the ad closed.

It's all covered in the classifieds rules: A few key excerpts:

As soon as you edit the title, the thread is considered to be closed and will be locked by forum staff. You are then free to immediately start a new ad thread.
If we notice a commitment to buy posted in your ad, we will close it. If the transaction falls through, report the ad by clicking in the upper right corner of any post and we'll reopen it for you.

8. If you sell an item, you can edit your ad to add other items and change the title while editing.
If you do not want to do so and wish to start a new ad, place "SOLD" or "WITHDRAWN" in your ad title.
