The Blues Brothers postings
A few posters use the "blue" lettering.
Can never read a word of it unless I magnify many times.
So I don't bother.
Why the blue, brothers?

Just run your cursor over it to highlight.... changes color to something readable.

I have the same problem with the people that decide to post in white. Why?
Yes, I can highlight it to read it, but why do they do SOMETHING EXTRA (change the font color) that in turn requires me to do SOMETHING EXTRA (highlight the message) to make it legible.
It makes no sense to me.
But then again, most times PEOPLE make no sense to me.

Why do people try to make sense with their postings? That's really annoying! When I'm sitting in a stupor, absentmindedly scrolling down the threads, the last thing I need is some errant bit of wisdom jolting me back into the ugly realm of reality.

Yup. Like when people who post nebulous thread titles, I just skip over it.
PS--points subtracted for this thread not being about Jake & Elwood.

On the bottom left corner of each Forum page there is a selection for how you want the Forum to look. The colors mentioned above look perfectly normal if you choose a dark background Forum layout. My guess is that this complaint is coming from members that have chosen the white "original" background.

More likely from those who have the dark grey background with white lettering.

On the IPad, you regular guys who post regular show up in white on black background. No problem there!
You other guys who post 'different' can be difficult to impossible to read.
And we ain't got no stinking cursor on the IPad.
We don't need no stinking cursor! (Usually)

There is an incredibly small subset of users who continue to use the original "light blue" color style. (Less than 180 out of 146,000).
Some of those members seem to enjoy being extra different and change the color and font style of their posts. When viewed in the "Light Blue" color style - their posts are "artistic" and "pretty" to the eyes.
What they don't realize is that when those posts are viewed by the 99.86 percent of us that use the dark blue style - it looks like poop and is often unreadable.
When I come across them - I will edit out their "artistic statement" and make it readable to the "dirty masses". In most cases - the artists are better than you and I and we must just except that.
The guys that love the original light blue style are quite vocal about it. Militant even. Hey it is a free country.
The style chooser it towards the bottom on the left of every page. Right now it probably says "----S&W Forum - Default Dark Blue - Fixed Width". Use the down arrow and see what the other choices look like. You might be one of the 0.14% and like the light blue better.
If you choose to live in "light blue land" - please refrain from letting your inner artist show through and leave the font and colors of your posts alone.
Those who are SWCA members will know that the private SWCA areas look different that everywhere else. Actually the real S&W Colors with cool S&W logos - Membership has it's privileges. SWCA members can make the entire forum look that way if they wish.

Hey. I am one of the .14 that like the light blue style on here.
Using different color writing is hard to read for me also. Yellow or white writing is not readable at all.
I guess i am just used to it as when i joined it was the preset style.

Why does this same subject come up every couple of weeks? Please fill in the blanks.

Guess we better fill that out to me. I didn't realize that this topic had been discuss to death.
I suppose that I could just remove the ability to change fonts and colors and that would solve the issue.
