Default Potential scam e-mail

Hi guys.

Just received an e-mail reported to be from:

<webmaster@*************************> (this particular web site)

Informing that an admin had reset my password to this forum and if I didn't believe it I could follow a link contained in the message.

Well, this may be legit, but my password was not reset and I was able to log into this forum without problem.

If it's legit, I suspect the admins will post a notice about the action somewhere on the board in short order, but in the meantime, I caution against following any link in any e-mail any time there is anything strange or unusual associated with it.

Let's be safe out there.

You are mistaken.
It is not from this website.
Numerous forums owned by a large company are resetting passwords.
