Bearfoot....as noted in the previous "locked threads" about the forum freezing up, the problem seems to be with the ads.
I doubt you get any other response. I don't think there is any real interest by the administrators to make any changes. I know this doesn't help with your problem, but I felt you deserved a response.
BTW, I had to "force reload" 3 times just to reply to you.

This!!! It is real difficult to respond with help if we don't know how you are trying to access the forum. Some sell phone programs are problematic, but most issues can be resolved if we know what you are trying to access with.

Others have found this thread helpful. Pay particular attention to the last post, which links to about ten other similar threads. The most common problem is using Internet Explorer, which the forum does not support. Another excellent solution is to become a forum contributor, which removes all ads . . .

Just for consideration my personal experience:
I switched to the Firefox browser about a year ago. All went quite well for a few months with this site and my desktop. Then multiple problems with both site and desktop to the point that I thought about trading in my dinosaur. Upon the advice from a friend I switched browser to Chrome. Since that switch 95% or so of my problems have vanished. I never knew that a browser could impact overall performance and operation so much. Offered for whatever it may be worth based on my experience....
