Returning to thread list problem

Using imac(macbook pro) and when I hit the back arrow from reading a thread I get back to the thread list where I left but within a second the pace skips down as if I hit a page down button. Only started two weeks ago but the continuation is driving me nuts. Anyone suggestions or similar issue?

Instead of using the back button, maybe try dragging 2 fingers across the mouse pad.
If you swipe to the left it will load the last page. If you swipe to the right it will take you back to the page you just left.

Tried that and I get the same result...returns to previous page the a second or so later it drops at least a page.

Don't know if it's going to help you, but when Macs get a bit wonky, the first thing I do is "Repair Disk Permissions" using the "Disk Utility".

If your unsure how to do this, I found a simple video tutorial, appropriately authored by what sounds like a 12 year old.

You might try using the forum back button. It's at the top left of any page and looks like .

When I return to the previous page, the loading ad photos are what causes the down shifting of the page.
