Hello, Moderators! Anybody in there? Help contacting Dave Nash
Attention, moderators (or anyone who can help).
I recently came into possession of some items previously belonging to former Smith & Wesson employee, contributor to, and member of this forum, Mr. Dave Nash.
These items were hand-built by the Smith & Wesson Model Shop (also known as the Experimental Shop) and would be of considerable historical significance to the members of this forum in particular and posterity in general.
I have sent Mr. Nash a PM, but it seems his mailbox is full.
His last listed activity on this forum is November, 2016 and I have no other way to contact him.
Please help me to contact Mr. Nash so that I might be able to document these items and share them with the forum before all of that accumulated knowledge is lost to history.
Thanks in advance to anyone who knows or can help me contact Dave Nash.
John

Calling all moderators!
Be on the lookout for Dave Nash!
And if I'm breaking some forum rule by asking this, please let me know.
Don't just ignore me.

Did you try sending him an email instead? Find a post by him, and instead of clicking on PM, click on email.

Thanks!
I tried that and it's not listed as an option.
Maybe the Historical people would be interested.

Try PM'ing Doc44
Besides being a Mod in the S&WCA, I believe he also has ties to the folks who run the S&W Historical Foundation.

Thanks, Erich!
Have you heard anything back yet?
I thought I sent you an e-mail but apparently my communication skills are lacking.
Did you send Mr. Nash an e-mail or a PM ?(His mailbox is full.)
I have this slide and several others that also seem to be from the Experimental Shop at Smith & Wesson:
Factory Experimental 5906 Slide
Anything you can do to help would be appreciated and would be educational for members of this forum.

Hi John,
I sent him an email, but don't know whether he's gotten it. I know he's a busy guy - busier than I am, and I barely have time to check the forum this time of year.
cheers, erich

Hi, Mods!
I am bumping this thread in hopes that some new info may help me contact Forum member Dave Nash.
As previously mentioned, I have some interesting property that he owned and wrote about in these pages.
I have made several attempts to contact him, but his PM box is always full.
In a separate thread, Mod. Tom S. claims that the mods can always push a PM through to a loaded PM box.
Can we try this?
His stats indicate that his last activity was 02/14/2020, so he is still visiting from time to time.
These artifacts are fascinating and historical and would be of interest to S&W enthusiasts.
Please help me contact him before this opportunity is lost forever.
Thanks!
John

Send him a PM. His box is not full.
Erich has emailed him for you two years ago.
I PMd him two years ago, and today.
I can't make him answer you. Maybe he no longer cares....

Those last five words may be some of the saddest I've ever read.

Pshaw, but thanks; you give me far too much credit for something anyone would be happy to do. He's a solidly good and knowledgeable fellow and I'm sure would want to help if he is able - I'm really glad you were able to get in touch.
