Default Heads up! Database errors

Just had fun trying to log in. I got the dreaded VBulletin database error message several times. Web or server issue?

I think it must be a server issue. I noticed the forums were responding slow earlier today and just now ran into several of the database error pages while trying to load up pages. I guess someone needs to go kick the server (or reboot it at least) to see if that helps.

This is one of the hardest websights there is to navigate through as the pages freeze up and the forum does not respond. Is it because of all the junk ads?

You have to be a member of S&WCA to access the database.

Default I didn't try to access the database......

I was just going between pages and I"d get an error page. I'm glad to know it's not my computer.

The message you are seeing is systematic to the software used to run this forum (I've seen it on other forums using the same software) and is indicative of issues the system is having. The entire forum is a type of database, hence the database error message. I see this morning that things seem to be back to normal.

I got the database error as I just now logged in. It's been happening occasionally for the last couple of weeks.

And it just happened as I tried to submit this reply.

Since yesterday I have encountered it more than a dozen times. Twice while hitting "Post Reply" in this thread.

Not a big issue, I just wish they would use some better colors.

Edit to add: I has happened again 6 times while opening threads.

Yup, the last couple days I have noticed both very slow connections and multiple database errors.

This morning it seemed back to normal, but now it's running at molasses speeds again. No error messages yet, but it wouldn't surprise me. I wonder if they did an upgrade. Sometimes (like Windows upgrades) they can cause problems.

Don't know what you boys behind the curtain did but the forum is now running like a bus station pickpocket.

Thanks.

I've been getting a vbulletin error message for a few days and experiencing pages loading very very slowly.

I formatted and reinstalled the OS but the condition persists.

Must be a toll booth between Ohio and Michigan then, because up here, those electrons are running so slow, I can almost count them.

It takes so long today to move around on here that I click on what I want to do here, then click on another open car forum I'm on and stay there till the little circle stops rotating on the S&W forum and then go back there.

Read what I want and make a move and then go back to the car forum till the S&W is "working". At most times the wait is over a 1/2 minuet to a full+ minuet here.

Normal procedure for me is to have 4 tabs open and move back and forth as needed. (Closing all other tabs does not help make this one move faster, I tried it a couple times)

This site is running near normal speed for me today but not the last few days. Now I am also not getting posts registered and I keep getting notified about the same likes; sort of like "Ground Hog Day. I signed off and signed back in but no change.

Is anyone looking into the slowness issue?

I had sign in issue a few minutes ago. Looped back a couple of times not recognizing my username & password.

On my next attempt, the site was sluggish, looped back to sign in, then signed me in. Took me to a screen with the message that my username was already registered and click here if I had forgotten my password.
