Default Periodic Performance issues have returned

Periodic performance issues are back. It seems to be a cyclic thing. Constant resource consumption and extremely slow response. Clearing cache and cookies does not help, never has. Using Chrome.

Like I said, this happens every so often with this forum and in a few days something will change and it will go away for another few weeks.

Having the same problem here. I wonder if all the junk ads are slowing the website down. I have never had a problem on UziTalk or SubGuns. Love this forum and group of people but can barely look at a post without the page/frame freezing up. I remember several times when the junk ads were gone I had no issues at all.

I just started a thread on this as well. I have never noted any problems with it in the past before the recent changes took place (where we had to clear cookies etc to see the new changes to the site).

Whatever is wrong needs to be corrected. Opening this site brings my laptop to its knees. NO, cache/cookies/... do NOT fix things. The pages are consuming resources at alarming rates. I suspect ads but haven't dug into it because it's painfully slow. YES I am on a modern capable device.

Let's start with you being a paying member and see if that solves your problem.

That is the starting point for all "debuging" of your issue. 8-cents a day. 1800 posts in 4 years is over a post a day. Seems like you like this place, maybe it is time you support it.

If you are going to demand effort on my part, there is only one way to get it.

Becoming a bronze contributor was a good thing for my experience on this forum. I have none of the problems others are reporting, either on my desktop Mac or iPhone.
