I guess this is the right place for this....

A couple of weeks ago some changes occurred on the Forum and my computer breezed right through them. As of yesterday, however, things got different, and by that I mean that the "opening page" that I used to get, which was a list of current threads, is gone. Now I get opened right to the list of S&W Forum forums. All well and good, but it was fun to see the current discussions first before I went poking around on the various forums to see what was happening deep inside them.

Any ideas?

I bet this is easy, like deleting the cache or something, which might work but before I try that adult guidance will be appreciated.

Are you looking for the New Posts area? You can bookmark it and start your sessions there.

The New Post tab is not the same as the old opening page that I had bookmarked. I have the same bookmark, but now opens to the page ISCS mentions above. The previous page - which worked yesterday- only had gun topics. The "New Post" page has all new posts, including the Lounge and other stuff that was not in the "old" page. Plus, the "old" page seemed to have a larger number of posts than the New Post page has. Don't know if I am describing this correctly, but something has changed.

You can always click on the "New Posts" link at the top of the page.

Not knowing where you were starting your session from before makes it difficult to tell you how to get back to that point. I start my sessions from the Forum tab. Maybe you had subscribed threads that you were starting with or something else. Play with the tabs at the top and see what you come up with. Dumping your cache may have dumped customizing you had done in the past. Some of the cookies that got tossed may have contained the details of how you wanted things presented.

Yes something has changed on my end also. I used to get the new posts in all the subforums NOT including the lounge, forum office, or the rules or SWCA stuff. Sorry if i sound snobby, but I'm not interested in reading the lounge threads. I just want to see new posts in the revolver forums, ammo, reloading and concealed carry. That's what I'm used to seeing.

Management had done several upgrades and we were to clear out the old stuff and restart for those changes to take effect.

The old opening page is back to normal for me. I did not make any changes on my computer. Big Thank You to the people who keep this running. You only realize how spoiled we are with this great forum when the bugs appear.

...the opening page has been changing around for me the last couple of days...I always go to the top and click on where I want to go so it really doesn't bother me...

I am presently working on my home computer and the old opening page is working for me here, too, so I bet when I get to my office computer next week it will be back to normal. If not I will delte the cache, etc., and let it "refind" itself.
