Default Is the S&W Forum website hacked?

Only on this S&W website, I am getting a pop-up saying my computer has been downloaded with malware.

Is anybody else getting this pop-up? Please hit the "Like" button if you also get the pop-up.

Thanks.

God bless,
Birdgun

...that's because your computer has been downloaded with malware...better clear your browser...I clear mine right before I shut the computer off every time I use it...

I received a bogus message last week. Shut everything down and rebooted and when the computer turned back on everything was fine.

Sounds like ransom ware. See it more on Apple products than others. Dump your history and clear ALL your cookies.

That's what I had to do also. The second or third time it happened I left it up and I had my computer guru look over my PC. Computer work is his occupation. He didn't see any malware on my PC. The guru said the pop up was ransom ware.

In my settings, I always have my history and cookies automatically cleared every time I get off the net. I have to log in to everything each time I get back on, but like others have suggested, getting rid of history and cookies helps keep the bad guys at bay.

Since the guru looked over my PC the ransom malware has popped up only once more and it was on the S&W Forum site.

Thanks to all for the input.

God bless,
Birdgun
