Can I start a thread on background checks
I want to start a thread in how the Forum feels about universal background checks

You did that a while back.
It got ugly. Babies got pinched, puppies got kicked, and women cried. 
Eventually the thread got locked.
I told the NRA today I agree with background checks

How come people can never understand that criminals will
not obey the law? Only law abiding citizens will. Lack of
the ability to think things through? Lack of logic or common
sense? No life experience? Only spent time in the university
systems? It is so simple! Punish criminals. Lock them up. Throw
away the key. Problem solved.

Gun laws have already pushed us over the slippery slope. Only thing gun laws do is penalize law abiding citizens.
