Wanted to add. it doesn't work on my iPhone either. Both my laptop and iPhone worked well with this forum, until about a week ago. I missed out on a nice holster : (

Thanks for offering help:
1 - what has changed with Chrome? It was never an issue before?
2 - I don’t have Chrome on my iPhone. And I get the same issues.
3 - I tried the IE that was on my laptop and that does work, though it’s glitchy and the User Profile, where you try to send a PM to someone, was slow to respond, giving the same issues as Chrome. But again, it did work.
I don’t think it can get IE on my phone, so hopefully we figure this out.
Thanks again

Using chrome on an iPad or iphone is not a good combo, and is not needed since virus cannot get into Apple software.

As I said earlier, I am using Silk (not Chrome) to browse. If this is a Chrome issue then why am I experiencing the same issues as those above?
My Wyatt Burp workaround gets me around these stop sticks. It is mildly irritating but just takes a few extra taps.

Me, too.
Laptop with Windows 10/Chrome. Nope.
iPhone and iPad with latest iOS updates/Safari. Nope.
Get a teeny blue box when clicking on Notifications with all three devices.
Have seventeen (17) noted...hoping none are 'dings.'
Be safe.

So IE works. Chrome, Safari, Silk, etc., do not. What is it about IE that allows it to work??? Some security feature missing in IE that S&W forum doesn’t play well with???

Cannot access "Notifications"....worst part is my PM box is 92% full so I've been trying to get in there to delete some of my no-longer needed messages, but can't.
I have Windows 7 and use Google Chrome on Dell PC.

I am having the same problem at home with my MAC and at work with my IBM windows based CPU.
The problem is that the drop down menus aren't completely showing up when you hover the mouse over user names. I will get a small wedge of the top left corner and no more.

It is a layering issue.
On both Chrome in Win 10 and Safari on I-phone 7.
Norifications can only be accessed by clicking a random combination of the Notifications link and the Community link below it multiple times in sequence. At some point the Notification menu unrolls and is responsive. I have not discovered a specific pattern which accomplishes that, but so far it has always worked ultimately. This is in both Chrome and Safari.
Search function not accessible at all.

I have Chrome. If I light off the search drop down menu I can then slide right and access the quick links---most times.

For touch-screens:
Tap a function that you don't want (eg 'quick links') the "Q" will drop down.
Press and hold 'notifications' or any other function you wish to access.
Voilà, the shadowed box opens.
For me, this works for all functions.
PS: thanks Wyatt Burp.

**Dirty Fix**
- Click on your Notification and if you're having the issue just a small part of the drop-down menu appears.
- Now, with the small portion of the drop-down menu still showing, move your cursor to the Community drop down menu.
- The Community drop-down full menu will appear.
- Finally, move your cursor back to the Notifications drop-down menu and all of the menu items will show up.
It's not ideal but gets the the job done.
Fyi, this also works with Quick Links because I'm having the same issue with that menu as well.
Regards,
Kobsw

Haven't been able to get notifications in days now with either my desk top (windows 10, google chrome) or my laptop (windows ?, google). If it helps a little tiny piece of the upper left corner appears when I click on notifications.

I can usually access my private messages and recent likes using the Quick Links tab, but I (still) cannot send private messages as I receive a message saying the intended recipients are not found.
I have logged on using Microsoft Edge and Chrome, with the same result.

You don't click on the little box at all......so if the little square is not showing that's ok..........
Click on notifications........STOP......
now mouse over COMMUNITY TAB.....DON'T CLICK ON IT..... doing this should open the community box .... if it does go back and mouse over notifications....it should also open now......

HP Pavilion 2015 model running windows 10 with all the latest updates . Google Chrome browser . When I click on Your Notifications a partial icon of some sort appears underneath the word Your . The background is blue like the forum background with what seems to be the upper part of two letters . Could be the drop down joseywales mentioned . Same thing if I click on a members name to try to see their profile or to send a PM .
Eddie Southgate
PS:
dben002's fix works for me as well . Tried Internet Exploder and had 0 issues so it has to do with Chrome.

I am having the same issue with my home HP laptop.
Drop down does not work when I click on NOTIFICATIONS.
I have cleared my "cookies" and nothing has helped so far.
Have the same problem when using my PC at work.
Issue has gone on for a couple weeks now.

Laptop, Windows 10, Google Chrome. Shows I have a notification but I get the same YO. Have also noticed the working function circling when I start another function in stead of going right to the chosen function.
Also tried to go to second page of this post and it doesn't allow me to do that!

Chrome appears to be the culprit here and elsewhere. I cannot cut and paste stuff into a webmail message using Chrome, but it works fine with Firefox and Exploder. The timecard system for the guys around me flat out cannot function with Chrome.
I generally do not use Chrome because I dislike the feeling of their fingers fiddling where the sun doesn't shine.

I guess it bears repeating as some are not reading the thread......
If you click on notifications or quick links and get the little square box.........do the following
ALSO: if you use firefox you will be fine..the problem is in Chrome.
