What's wrong with the website? Took me 7 attempts of using my user name and password before I was able to get in. Last night it took 5 attempts.

Since you are the only one to report this, I have to assume the problem was on your end.

I had the same problem several times with log in. I would log in and it would accept it and then go back to the log in page. I finally checked the remember me box and it worked. It did the same thing on this log in. That one little step is no big deal.

I too was unable to log in in my customary manner. Had to click the "Remember Me" box and then it worked.

If they’re still having problems, have them delete temporary files/cookies/browse history and try again.

Just a couple minutes ago after trying all morning I finely got in.

Started at 7,30 my time, must have tried about 20 times!

Default Site was offline from last night til midday.

Thought I was screwing up something as it said ‘server not available’ when trying to access site.

Websiteplanet.com reported site was offline and gave a code that I cannot recall.

No worries...just wanted to report.

Be safe...be well.

Just had the same problem right now. 5 times I logged in and said I was logged in and then logged out. I finally got in after I checked the remember me box.

^ This. Using Chrome the site will not log me in until I check the remember me box. This is something new.

We have been experimenting with a change that will tie log in attempts directly to the number of infractions you have.

NOT !!

Kobsw here, I'm reporting the same problem as above and confirming that checking the remember me box resolved the issue.

Once you check that box, your computer stores that information (called cookies) and the next time you log in, even though the box is no longer checked, the computer sends the info and the website recognizes you. If you clear your cache/cookies though, you will have to check the box again.

Except I nuke cookies every time I shut down my browser and use CCleaner religiously. Unless this site and Firefox are doing some kind of end around, that's not it.

It took me ten attempts to get in just now. The system thanked me by correct user name for logging in & then dumped me back at the login point

Exactly what happened to me when using Firefox.
Had no issues when logging in using Chrome (I much prefer Firefox)

Same for me - Googled for possible issues with the Forum and could see this thread - clicked “Remember Me” and I’m in.

I have the same issues off and on for a while. Firefox would work but not Chrome, then neither, then both would work fine. Today neither Firefox or Chrome will work without checking the remember me box. (every time I log in )

It's rather exasperating but at least I can get in.

What good is clicking the "remember me" box other than allowing one to login?

It doesn't remember me at all.

If you don't have your browser set up to allow cookies, then checking the box won't help. Checking it sends a cookie to your computer with info that is sent back to the forum with your login info. If your computer doesn't allow cookies, then the process won't work. Same thing if you have the browser clear all cookies automatically when you close out.

Same problem here this morning. Very flaky. Says "Thanks for logging in..." but when the main page loads, I'm not logged in.

Have had this problem off and on. Somerimes Firefox won't log in, but can on Safari or Brave. This morning nothing would work, either on Mac or Windows. Oddly, after clicking "Remember me" (having not cleared cookies) and manually entering name and password (not relying on LastPass) I was finally able to ACTUALLY get logged in on Firefox but it took several tries.

This is the only site I have this problem with, and a couple of other forums I'm on use the same board software, so perhaps it's something with this particular board setup? Fortunately it only happens occasionally

You couldn't have made this post if you weren't logged in, at least not under your member name.
