Howdy all.
Due to the Blizzard of 10 here in central NC I had a chance to clean out and sort a box of treasures that had been lurking about... that whole out of sight/mind thing....
Anyways came across a couple of cool pieces I thought I would share.
Also looking for any additional input from our leather experts out there.
First up is a George Lawrence Company shoulder rig. I believe this dates to the 1900 to 1940 period and has a cool pin on it where the shoulder harness strap is pinned to the holster. Sort of like a hat pin of yesteryear.
The holster is marked with a 10 over their oval shaped logo stamp. Under the oval logo is 45, under the 45 is 6.
Making some assumptions I think 45 refers to .45 cal and 6 to 6" Bbl. I show it pictured with a 1905 4th change .32-20 that is obviously too small. Anybody know what these numbers stand for?
The pin looks to be brass and painted. It is a horses head over a sheild or crest that has crossed swords over a 4 leaf clover????? In a banner style underneath is the word??? ALLONS or maybe ALL ONS
I thought this one was pretty cool and wanted to share. Anybody out there that can add some info, please share.
Hope you enjoy.
