Fancy Tooled Holster For A..****ger Double Action!! no offense
My son-in-laws pistol packin' mom carries this Ruger GP 100 in her purse when she comes to town here. I made her this holster as a gift even though I know she would never put it on a belt. The two tone dye job was meant to compliment those grips. I'm not completely thrilled about the tooling in a couple places. Maybe I'm just overthinking it. Whatever. This is one robust shootin' iron. I really like it's pragmatic, businesslike qualities. Looks like a really durable sixgun.

It looks great! Maybe she will wear it if you make a pair of boots to match.

I love my GP-100, but that lady must have some purse to carry that big gun!

That was what I thought! A purse gun?! Man! If a perp were close enough, she might just whirl her purse at his head and the weight of the GP100 inside would knock him silly. Come to think of it, some ladies' purses are filled with enough stuff to do just that without adding the weight of a full-size .357! (No offense, ladies. I've often depended on my wife's traveling stash of stuff.)

She brought the gun over for Easter yesterday so I could get a good picture of it. She had it loaded in the holster in a small size white flour type bag with her other stuff. She travels alone and I think it's always with her on these road trips.
My wife has everything BUT a gun in her purse. And she has a zillion purses. I crapped my pants in joy when I found that left handed S.D. Myres holster in that gun shop junk box. That's how she is about a new purse.

As usual Wyatt, that looks great. I see what you mean about the white stitching, I like that. Something else to buy/try.

That looks great and I'm not offended. It's OK to put a double action Ruger in some nice leather, especially since you made it.
I didn't make mine but still put the old Speed Six in some not so bad looking leather.

Is there a thin piece of spring steel under those sewn on sections? And is that a tension screw?
That's a really nice holster. More ideas to heist!

You guys are making the Ruger look awfully nice!
C&L is that a 'Viking' mfg holster? I've got one somewhere for my 32 HE 2" that's the same including the carving IIRC.
Now that I've seen yours,,I have to go and look for it..and there goes the afternoon.
