Leather/Holster experts...
This Berns-Martin front break holster came with a 27-1 I bought today.
It has cleaned up much better than the photo shows.
Can't find much value info on the net.
Anyone have a ballpark estimate ?
Thanks in advance.

You gotta show us the other side...need to see which of the makers marks were used... Also some other detailed pics of the rest of the holster...
Prolly worth a bit more then you think...
If it's very good, I might have a used K-frame I'd trade for it...
All kidding aside, it belongs with the gun you bought. I'd never sell that holster. You'd look for years before you could replace it... Man, even the stitching behind the trigger guard bow is still intact...that's somethin'.

That's a nice one Howard. Floral carved for an N-frame snubbie? You don't see many of those around. A C-note easy. More to a collector seeking to fill a hole in his collection. May I suggest that you use a little Black Rock Leather-n-Rich to clean it up a little bit. You'll be pleased with the results.

p.s. Almost forgot to give you a big "attaboy" on the 27-1. Don't see many of those either! Great catch!

You ever seen another floral carved for a N-Snub ? First one I've seen is in the pic above.
I'm guessin' to the right person it's possible it's North of that C-Note...
Oh yeah, the gun's nice too !... Hardly noticed it.

Not an expert. My opinion though? Good day on Ebay with the right bidder and you're looking at a number closer to 250ish than to 100. I had a guy in Japan pay me 130ish for an old three inch J frame holster from Bucheimer or some such. Make sure to note that you'll ship world wide if you auction it. Guys in Japan and Italy are crazy for holsters for whatever reason.

That seems odd. Wonder why?

Nope. It's a first for me too. Lots for J-frames,a couple for 4" K's. Hey,I said "easy".

Berns-Martin was originally located in Calhoun City, Miss. When it was sold it was moved to the new owner's hometown of Elberton, GA. and the late B-M rigs are so marked. I'm aware of a Berns-Martin catalog dated 1960 which listed Mississippi as the location; the move to Georgia must have been after that.
3.5" pre-Model 27 with plain B-M rig:

JayCeeNC,
I've got the identical rig for my Fitz Special. Your's appears to be almost mint. Nice lookin' rig!
What's neat about Xfuzz's holster is that the stitching that is so evidident in your holster...the stictch pattern that holds the c-spring clip ~ almost dissapears in his holster. You know it was done at the factory, because the floral pattern incorporates that stitch...
