Great job. And that's really nice tooling they did on that. Any idea how old it is?

That turned out real nice. What did you end up using on it?

I may post a picture of a old carved leather one I have that came with a colt saa 4 3/4" .38wcf 1906 that I bought many years ago. No makers name or marks on it. Actualy, it seemed to small for the colt.
I must have a dozzen or so old holsters that are neglected and need cleaning up like that. I dont know how to do them.

I actually used Kiwi's black leather dye. I cleaned up the holster with a soft cloth and warm water to get the dust and grime off. I then put on a couple of coats of the dye and let it dry overnight. I then put on a coat a coat of Kiwi polish. This stuff I put on very lightly, and buffed it with a soft clothe with very, very lightly. I emailed Tex Shoemaker & Sons with a couple of pics of the holster to see if they have an idea of how old the holster might be. I don't think with all that scrollwork that the holster was standard, that amount of work was probably a custom order.

Good job David. You need to post your phone number because every one is going to want their holster redone. Don
