5$ and 10$ holsters. (pic heavy)
While looking for something else in my "junkpile" I came across my big holster box.As I was looking through the jumble two facts came to me.One I had way to many holsters,TWO I had only paid 5 or 10 dollars apiece for these things. So I started wondering if anybody else here had a problem with buying every "cheap" holster they came across. Here is some pics of the contents of my holster box. They don't include any of my nylon ones or auto holsters. These are just the ones for S&W's.First some S&W brand ones.
Next some Bucheimers
A few Brauer Bros
A couple of Don Hume "Jordans"
A Galco and a Bianchi with a S&W throwed in
Some oddballs
More unknowns with one marked Buddy Schoellkopf Dallas Tex.
And finally a couple of military ones I came across.

Nice bunch of old holsters, you've been at it for awhile.
Yeah I love to find good leather at discount prices. And already having a drawer full...
... doesn't stop me from buying more!

and this is the reason I'm always just sticking my gun in my pocket...you guys hording all the holsters...LOL
really theres nothing around here for revolvers unless you want some of the "quality" nylon junk.... however..... if you carry a "bottom feeder", there's ton's for autos..... unless it's one I need..... then.....oh well, back to the pocket.....
at least everyone thinks I'm happy to see them..... :-)

I have a nylon pocket holster for my 642 for cc, but wanted a leather belt holster for trail carry. Needed a behind-the-triggerguard retaining strap holster but a new Bianchi was $$$! Well, I lucked into a used Hunter in the $5 "junk leather" bin. PERFECT says I. Also lucked into a cool flap holster for my Ruger Bearcat. It pays to take a peek in the bargain bin now and then.

I had so many cheap Hunter type holstersand home mades ...from gun trades, etc. I started giving them to the dogs as chew toys. I'd cut off the metal snaps and let them have at it.

I used to have a big holster box, but then I discovered eBay and the holsters turned into guns.

Hey Combat. Are any of those for an N frame? If so, where do you find them at a reasonable price. I've been looking for over a year and they don't seem to come up much on Ebay. Thanks.

It's good to know I'm not the only one with a bunch of holsters laying around. Most of mine are left handed though and share space with a tub full of other police duty gear.
[QUOTE=Combat;135548872]
Combat, is that black, floral carved, muzzle forward holster marked with anything, and/or do you know anything about it? And can it be seperated from the ammo loops?

A man after my own heart.
I love to rumage through gunshow boxes and find those great deals. And you get shocked when the guys says 5 or 10 bucks.....your wallet comes out faster than a gunfighters pistol on a draw. I have found some nice S&W holsters to go with some of my smith revolvers. Can't beat the feeling. Good job and thanks for sharing.

NostraDONus, the pic of the bunch of S&W holsters is an old one.I don't remember if any of those are N frame or not.The center holster in the Galco pic is an N frame S&W one.I find most of my holsters in bargain boxes at gunshops and pawnshops. But,I find at least one at every gunshow I go to. Jellybean, the fancy black holster has no markings on it at all I can find.It is a very well made item with care given to the details. And no it can't be separated from the top part.I wish I could find out some kind of info on it but so far nothing.I'm glad to find out I ain't the only one with the holster "sickness".

Combat, thanks for the feedback.
No, you aren't alone. A good holster is just as important as the gun that goes into it for some people and finding the right one of either can take some time and patience. I do have a few that came from junk boxes at gunstores but most were ordered or bought as new and hardly, or never, used, and some that were custom made until I found what I wanted.
