Maybe someone here can help date a little piece of Heiser leather we spotted today.
On our hump to the dealership where our truck is being repaired, we stopped in an old gunshop/pawn shop. While I was looking over a few of the rifles (no handguns to be seen) wifey spots a nicely tooled saddle. She really likes the saddle and asked me to look it over.
On both skirts and near the pommel the leather was marked Heiser Leather Company, around the triple H logo. Pretty sure it is the same company as the holster maker. Wifey struck a deal with the shop owner and if all goes well with the warranty company covering the repair we'll probably be dragging the saddle back to California with us.
Anyone know when they dropped the triple H logo, if at all? The shop owner claims the saddle dates to the 50's, but I'm thinking it might be the 40's. It is in excellent shape and had been well cared for.
