Default holster repair - glue for leather

What's the best glue to fix an old holster where the lining has pulled away from the outer leather.

Not sure there is any reliable glue for such. Nothing works the way it is advertised.

Just head on down to your local Home Depot and pick up some Weldwood contact cement and follow the instructions for it's use. The small bottle is about 5 bucks. It comes with a small brush inside that will work fine. I use it on all the holsters I build and it works great. Be sure to apply as much pressure to the glued area after you stick it together. That's what gives it strength.

Yep, contact cement is the best. Just be sure you have it lined up exactly cause once the two pieces touch, that's it! No moving it after.Permanent

You can keep the pieces apart with pieces of straws pencils etc and then pull them out as you go.

Putting plastic laminate on counter tops put glue on both sides (wood and laminate) laid sticks across and the pulled them out from the center towards the ends.

Default Glue for holster repair

Tandy Leather or any other leather seller should have a
glue designed for leather.
Remember, sew over top of the glued area.

The standard leather cement is "Barge". Any leather & findings supplier has it as well as most craft shops and Tandy/Leather Factory.

I use the EcoFlo glue when making holsters, but the Barge has a good reputation. Never used it.
