Smile Junk box holster finds!

Hi all, I just love rooting around in the junk/used holster box that most shops have. Turned up these two recently, A El Paso Saddelry for a two inch J frame for fifteen bucks and a Bianchi #13 Scorpion shoulder rig for a K-frame for twenty bucks. I love it when a plan comes together! Happy new year all!

Not too long ago I was in a pawn shop and was looking at their holsters. They had one that caught my eye in a "Don Hume N-Frame" bag. When I took a closer look, it was a Simply Rugged Pancake that looked brand new. I paid $15.99 for it.

I recently found an El Paso Saddlery holster for a Commander for $20 or $25 dollars ( I can't remember which). Unfortunately my holster finds tend to be used very little and end up in my holster box in the top of my closet. I enjoy finding them though.

Ditto. Found a couple of good holsters for J frames for $5 each. I rarely use holsters but couldn't pass them up.

In a gun store holster box a few years back, I found a Safariland speed holster for a comped 1911, a Safariland outer belt, and six Safariland adjustable 1911 mag carriers, for a grand total of $30. Each mag carrier normally retailed for more than $30. They had never seen such a rig, and thought it was some sort of weird left hand holster (it was right-handed).

It fit my Springfield Longslide Trophy Match perfectly, and I used it for PPC and Limited 10 for a few years.

I bought an SD Myres floral carved jock strap holster off a feller at a gun show while back...went to another forum member soon after.

Default Junk box holster finds

I don't think I'll ever beat this one-
a carved Heiser model 7 holster for
a Colt Government .45-$5 out of a
box under a dealer's table at a local gun
show.
Regards,
turnerriver

Here's my Myres holster again. I found it buried under a bunch of beat up Hunter and various vinyl holsters in a gun shop **** box. I look for just such things but never scored before. And the bonus was it was left handed and only $5. That's a 24-3 in it.
