Default Mystery Holster - Please Help Identify

I found this wonder in a dusty, local shop. The hand tooled leather is very well done with an oak leaf and acorn pattern. It is very big, 13" length over all and over sized in general. It appears to be for a large frame revolver with a 6" barrel. There are no maker's marks with the exception of the snap bearing the mark, "Stimpson, Brooklyn." Can any fellow forum members help with identifying this holster, or at least the style and era when it was used? Thanks in advance, Lance (Waistgunner.)

for a scoped handgun I would think.

I think I once saw an American made holster for a Luger that looked like that.

LOL! You remind me of me. I see you bought it even though you don't have any idea what it'll fit. My wife still does not understand this logic.
