New Holster
I bought a new Bianchi 5BHL today for my recently purchased Smith & Wesson Model 66-1. They recommend keeping the unloaded revolver in the holster for a couple days to get it to "fit" precisely. I have heard about using a plastic bag around the revolver in conjucntion with this method. Does it work? Or is it hogwash?

It works. That's an old wheel gunner trick.

I used it in conjunction with saddle soap on a Bianchi holster for my 229 but, i'll never do it again it left very lite splotch marks on the stainless slide. Also forget about e-mailing Bianchi for any help they will never respond to any of your e-mails. Down thru the years I have purchased several Bianchi products but, never again . If they cannot be at least courteous enough to answer e mails I figure they don't need my business.

It should fit "precisely" right out of the package and not require any adjustment by the customer.
