The Good
I can't believe a guy learning how to do this made this. Short of me being held upside down and shaken by Chewbacca I don't think this 637 will fall out. The leather is thick and looks long lasting. It's simple and functional and I like it. The liner inside feels like it won't just eat away at a finish. It is molded so the handle is held against you and the front sight points away from you. I'm very impressed for a guy just starting out.
The Bad
He isn't a store. He doesn't have a pile of these ready to ship out. I still have to figure what a "fair" price is and pay the guy. I wish I was made of money since I think it's pretty darn nice. Really unless the thing just starts to fall apart on me, i don't have any negative comments on it. I guess the comment could be made that horse hide is thinner than cow hide, but that seems pretty hollow and petty and has nothing to do with this. This guy just makes good stuff. In a few years he may be making special order high dollar stuff...
