Heiser holster at a garage sale
A couple of weeks ago I saw a Heiser holster (Buffalo brand) with a tag of $12 on it.. It was a full coverage holster with a snap flap and looked like it would have fit my Hi-Standard Tournament .22. I passed on it and have been wondering ever since - should I be kicking myself?

Yes, you should be taken out behind the barn and horsewhipped. Even if you don't want it for yourself, its very good trading fodder and worth multiples of what it was marked. At garage sales, you always offer less. $10 would have bought it. At the bigger shows, they sell for $100 and more.

A couple of years ago I found a bunch of K, N, and J frame new old stock holsters at a flea market. They came from an old gun store that had closed down. I bought all of them. I took a vacation on the ones that I sold and didn't keep. Brown 4" basket weave N frame holsters are kind of hard to find.

Boy oh boy, that info makes me feel real 'good'. Today I was at a local Farmers Market and one of the vendors was listening to another vendor and me talking about guns. She said she had two she wanted to sell but didn't want to place an ad in the paper. One is an old Rem 870 (like new) which she wants about $170 for and a Zane Grey lever action 30-30 for $400. she will bring them along next week. I suppose I should at least get the 870.

There's a lot of history in the Heiser leather brand.
