I received this holster with some other gun stuff. Can anyone identify this holster and possibly the weapon that went with it. The only markings on it are on the back, on the belt loop. It says "jsd" with 1942 just below that. Below the date is what looks like a stylized eagle with the number 21 in it. Inside the flap there is writing that is very hard to read, but I can make out what appears to be Kal 7.65mm. There is a number on the bottom of the magazine - 41423. The belt loop/attachment slides up and down the vertical straps on the back, which seem to allow carry with the flap either open or closed. . Looks like some sort of West German Police holster. The one for my P1 (post war P38 with alloy frame) was very similar. Maybe that one is an older on for a PP or similar.

Looks like a German WWII holster for a Femuru, possible Luftwaffe. Don't know about the magazine. Check out Simpsons Ltd. for a similar piece.

I think you are right. I found an old auction for a Femuru 37 and it was identical to this one.

German mfg holster (Gustav Reinhardt/Berlin) for the P mod37 made for the German LuftWaffe by the Hungarians on contract.

Not sure on the magazine.
AFAIK all German contract pistols magazine had the heavy finger rest attached and 'P Mod 37' on the base. The German contract pistols are in 32acp.
The earlier Hungarian military pistols are in 380.
Some (all?) of the Hungarian Military issue pistols have a flat base mag. But I don't recall a lanyard loop on the mag base. That's not to say some special units or Police didn't specify that detail.
The base was retained with a tiny mag spring slot on the left side like CZ mags of the era.
If it is an original Femaru magazine (Hungarian Military/police issue) it in itself is a pricey, hard to find item.

The holster itself is a very desirable collectable as it was a LuftWaffe specific contract item along with the pistol. Though both undoubtedly saw use where ever the need arose.

The holster certainly appears to be for a P37 but the mag doesn't look right. I can't remember any german or hungarian mags with that style baseplate. Are there any other markings on the mag?

I can find no other markings on the mag. There is a spring slot on the bottom on the curved side of the base plate, under the numbers 41423. Holding the mag upright, rounds forward, there is a small star on the bottom of the right side. There is a small circular stamp on the left side, bottom that is hard to distinguish.

Whatever it's for originally, it looks like a great fit for my CZ Vz.50. ;-{>
