I place a 18"x18"x18" card board in the spare bedroom closet, when it is full I seal it up and store it in the garage with the other boxes of highly recommended holsters and place another empty box in the closet for future highly recommended holsters that I will never use.

Leather holsters (you can store your nylon & plastic in the bed of the Pick up) need to be where they can get light and breathe. I put some in a box in a closet one time long ago and grew some of the most impressive mold you have ever seen.

Three basic conditions.
1. Cool
2. Dry
3. Well Ventilated
4. Plastic Storage Bins That Have Been Sanitized
Easier said then done for most. But ideal if you can control temperature and humidity. Mold and mildew is the enemy and is usually stubborn once it develops.

I keep mine in plastic tubs. If my wife didn't fill up all the closets, I thing I'd buy several of those hanging shoe organizers.

I don't think I have as many as you boys. I have nine hanging on a coat rack behind the door of the "gun" room. Used leather thongs to loop through belt loops of those that don't have retaining straps. The plastic are in drawers somewhere I have forgotten.

I ziplock 'em and box 'em. I've got a few that have been bagged for years and I've never seen any evidence, upon checking them out every so often, that not allowing them to breathe is affecting them in any way. I don't put them away damp, of course, but I'm not finding they're excessively drying out or anything like that, either. No mold problems. They all look and feel as nice as the day they got put away.

In a ziplock, usually with a small dessicant pack that seems to come with every product in world now.

I bought one of those large 20mm ammo cans maybe 20+ years ago, and store my leather in it, sealed airtight. Haven't had a problem so far. The current 3 or 4 I am using are on the shelf in the gun vault.
