I like the holster and gun. I have never saw a holster like that. Larry

Still an effective combo. Has that duo been together since the beginning? If so, oh, the stories!!

Looks like a colt 1908, which I think came in .32 and .380 auto. They were carried by officers in WWI and WWII as I recall. Nice find; clean & inspect, then fire some rounds and report back.

Old--"OLD", double strap. That holster looks better for its age and use than I do.
Good Pics.
Thanks
Blessings

My dad has 3 of the Colts in 32. He bought his first used one after he could walk after an almost fatel car wreck, that would be 1957 or 58. It is the best point shooting gun I ever fired. As a kid, I watched it fly from his right hip pocket (left hip was always tender from the car wreck) and take the head off of snakes in the first or second shot every time. I don't think the snakes would have been a real problem, but that was how he kept his "CQB" skills up. There was a Colt 32 on him whenever he wasn't in town. And I would say, the 1-3 rounds he put thru it and then the cleaning on returning to the house was about a box a year of "I still got it therapy". He's 80 now and wants to carry a Walther PPQ 9mm but can't rack the slide, I just remind him that the Colts have never let him down in the past. Ivan
