Found in the old holster bin
Found this one amongst the Kydex tactical jobbies and the worn out Hunters:
Might be the best ten bucks I ever spent!

Nice find! Never know what you might find in those 'holster bins'.

Fewer and farther between these days but the holster bins and boxes are always worth digging around in. They don't come much better than this find-thanks for posting it.
Regards,

Great find. I, as well as a number of my friends, have on occasion found good/great holster buys out of the "junk" boxes at gun stores only to then have to buy a gun to fit it. That action makes perfect sense to me as I am sure it does to many of our fellow members. All my best, Joe.

God going! I just made my bi monthly trip to the gun shop where I've scored the most holster dumpster diving. Nothing this time, but I, too had to get through junk synthetic "holsters" and all the Hunters to see what's on the bottom. You did great.

I have a twin to your S.D. Myres - Tom Threepersons holster. Found it mixed in a bunch of military stuff at a gun show. The seller stood firm at $12.00.

Here's an SD Myres floral-carved threepersons I got for $10 out of the LGS holster bin. Although I don't have one, I believe it fits a 4-3/4" SAA.

I got real lucky with a real find and price...A Lou Alessi with the pull trough safety snap on the retention strap fits a S&W Shield like a glove...I was in the old stock mark down basket at a local gun store..Looks brand new to me no pistol wear period.....Miss Lou he was an artist. How he got those one way snaps to work and work all the time the Good Lord and I guess Mary Lou only know.....Quality holsters at a reasonable price....Not as reasonable as I got it 10 bucks...I almost felt like a thief,,,well almost..

That is an excellent example, and the price is fantastic. I suppose that many of the agents of years past used holsters from S. D. Myres.
Are they still issuing the Don Hume holster to new agents at Quantico?
At one time, they were issuing the Don Hume H726. I wonder what they issue these days?

Several years back I found a box of holsters from an Estate sale on a table at a gun show. In it were a pair of Milt Sparks and a pair of Kramers. All for N frame S&W's. One was a 5" , one for a six, both lined and like new.... the other two 4" IIRC. And a lone EPS for a 4" K frame.
I took out the 5" Sparks and with the box in front of me.... asked the guy what he wanted? He said $60. STILL a good deal on that design. So I took out three $20 bills and handed them to him. He pushed the ENTIRE box of holsters at me.
I looked at him for maybe 3 seconds and sure enough he thought I meant for the whole box!
MY...... best ever holster deal STORY.
OP....You did about as well. Great find.

Excellent find!
Sometime amid all the plastic and nylon in the "junk bin" there can be some real treasures in there, and they're usually made from dead animals!!
