Default Alamo Leather Goods

I’m looking for information on a leather goods and holster maker that’s out of business.
“Alamo Leather Goods, San Antonio, Texas” is what is stamped on the back of a Tom Threepesons style smooth-leather lined scabbard, model 311 L for a 5 inch 1911. I bought it used from a San Antonio police officer in 1967 and am still using it as it is in excellent condition.
I don’t know when it was first sold, but the original price was written in ink on the back of the belt loop. It is, are you ready for this, $9.46. Far cry from quality leather today.

Look up old posts concerning Alamo leather....If it is the same one that was in Las Vegas....well just look it up on old posts...The whole story was interesting to say the least......I could be hazy I'm old but if my memory is correct the Dirty Harry model of his shoulder holster was well made...Problem was paying and then not getting the holster...I imagine if is is the same maker it is well made and the fact it is available is a miracle on top of that...

We would love to see a picture.
Here's mine, it's not marked, but I have been told it's probably an Alamo.

I think you're confusing Lawman Leather with Alamo. Lawman is the maker of the Dirty Harry shoulder holster with a long history of problematic business practices . I don't know much about Alamo holsters other than that they are good looking well made holsters from Texas.

It appears to be an off-white, cream colored soft leather.

I think it probably is an Alamo based on the way the lining matches mine that is marked.

Mine is smooth black leather with an open bottom. and the same lining as yours.

You are absolutely correct...Lawmen was owned by Jerry Ardalena..My deepest apologies to Alamo Holsters.....I would not want to mistake a fine company with one shall we say dubious to say the least..Again my bad..
